7/22/2026-Blackwell Flycatchers Defeat North Platte 80s 23-3

The Blackwell Flycatchers exploded for 13 runs in the second inning and rolled to a 23-3 victory over the North Platte 80s on July 22, 2026.

Blackwell finished with 24 hits and scored in four different innings. After being held scoreless in the first, the Flycatchers sent 17 batters to the plate during their 13-run second inning. They added two runs in both the third and fourth innings before scoring six more in the sixth.

Shane Morrow led the Blackwell offense by going 5-for-6 with two home runs, four runs scored and eight RBIs. Cason Long contributed at the plate with three hits, including a triple and a double, while driving in six runs and scoring twice.

Kabrel Johnson went 4-for-6 with two RBIs, Caleb Marquez collected three hits and two RBIs, and Angel Rodriguez finished with three hits and two RBIs. Hunter Daymond and Caleb Copeland each added two hits for the Flycatchers.

Long also delivered a strong performance on the mound. He allowed six hits and one unearned run over seven innings while striking out six and walking one. Isidro Jimenez pitched the final two innings to complete the victory.

North Platte scored once in the first inning and added single runs in the eighth and ninth. Stephen Kent led the 80s with two hits and two RBIs, while TJ Beninati went 3-for-5 with a double. Carson McCurdy added a double and an RBI.

Blackwell finished the game with 23 runs on 24 hits and committed two errors. North Platte recorded three runs on nine hits with one error.
