June 26 2025 The Dublin Leprechauns held off the Vallejo Seaweed 10-9 in a tightly contested game at Ofallon Field. Dublin scored 10 runs on 11 hits with one error, while Vallejo finished with nine runs on 11 hits and two errors.
Vallejo built an early lead with three runs in the second inning and two more in the third. Dublin answered with one run in the second, then scored twice in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to take control. Vallejo rallied for four runs in the eighth, but Dublin kept the Seaweed off the board in the ninth to secure the victory.
Bryce Hayman powered Vallejo’s offense with a home run and four RBI.
Thomas Fitzpatrick went 3-for-4 with two runs, while
Michael Pavelchak drove in two runs. For Dublin,
Damone Hale went 2-for-4 with two RBI,
Sam Ott went 2-for-3 with two RBI and
DJ Aceron Jr. went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Jojo Barfield also contributed two RBI.
Tim Nichols worked seven innings for Dublin, allowing six hits and seven earned runs while striking out six.
Sam Ott earned the win after allowing two runs in one inning, and
Brad Moreno recorded the save with a scoreless ninth that included three strikeouts. Vallejo starter
Antonio Straughter allowed five runs in four innings, and
Adrian Morales took the loss after surrendering three runs in one inning.
