June 5 2025 The Alpine Cowboys scored 18 runs in the ninth inning to pull away for a 28-4 victory over the Roswell Invaders. Alpine collected 20 hits and led 7-2 after seven innings before producing its decisive late-inning outburst. Roswell finished with four hits and scored once in each of the first two innings before adding two runs in the ninth.
Sean Becker paced Alpine with four hits, four runs, three RBI and a triple.
William Glick went 3-for-5 with two runs and an RBI, while
John Tuttle added two hits, three runs, three RBI and a home run.
James Prockish drove in four runs, and
Xavier Croxton and
Brendan Konal each contributed three RBI.
Jesse Garcia earned the win for Alpine after allowing two hits and two runs over six innings. He recorded six strikeouts and allowed one earned run while walking four. Konal followed with three innings, giving up two runs on two hits with five strikeouts.
Ira Clifton took the loss for Roswell after surrendering four runs on nine hits in four innings.
Mikey Alonzo hit a home run for the Invaders, and
Najay King collected one hit and two RBI in the loss.
