June 2 2025 The Vallejo Seaweed defeated the Dublin Leprechauns 12-8 after building an early lead and holding off a late Dublin rally. Vallejo scored five runs in the second inning and added three runs in both the seventh and eighth innings. Dublin scored three times in the ninth but could not complete the comeback.
Abraham De La Cruz led Dublin with four hits and four RBIs, including two doubles.
Chris Alfonseca added two hits and one RBI, while
JC Javier drove in two runs. Dublin finished with 14 hits, but also left 13 runners on base and committed three errors.
Bryce Hayman drove in three runs for Vallejo, and
Mickey Nunes scored three times while collecting two RBIs and a triple.
Thomas Fitzpatrick had two hits and one RBI, and
Michael Pavelchak contributed two hits while earning the win. Vallejo totaled 11 hits and took advantage of 11 walks.
Pavelchak worked six innings for the victory, allowing eight hits and three earned runs while striking out four and walking one.
Christian Zellner pitched the final 1.2 innings for Vallejo. Dublin starter
Tim Nichols took the loss after allowing six runs, one earned, on two hits with seven walks in 1.2 innings.
Santiago Gomez struck out six in 5.1 innings for Dublin.
