June 17 2024 The Vallejo Seaweed rallied for an 8-7 victory over the San Rafael Pacifics at Wilson Park. Vallejo outhit San Rafael 10-7 and overcame a two-run deficit late in the game to secure the win.
San Rafael scored three runs in the third inning and added two runs in both the fifth and sixth to take a 7-5 lead. Vallejo answered with a run in the seventh and another in the eighth, moving ahead 8-7 after the teams were tied at seven runs apiece.
Ike Brown led Vallejo with two hits, two runs, two RBIs and two walks.
Thomas Fitzpatrick went 2-for-4 with a home run and an RBI, while
Henry Paulino added two hits and an RBI.
Mickey Nunes also collected two hits. For San Rafael,
Braxton King went 2-for-4 with two runs, and
John Bicos drove in two runs.
David Gustafson earned the win after pitching two scoreless innings, allowing no hits while striking out four and walking one.
Cutter Green started for Vallejo and allowed five runs on five hits in five innings.
Xavier Stewart took the loss for San Rafael after giving up two runs on three hits in 2.1 innings.
