June 15 2024 The Marysville Drakes built an early lead and held on for a 10-7 victory over the Vallejo Seaweed. Marysville scored eight runs in the first inning, added one in the fifth and one in the seventh to finish with 10 runs on 12 hits. Vallejo was held scoreless through six innings before scoring three runs in the seventh and two more in each of the eighth and ninth innings.
Caleb Harmond led the Drakes with three hits in five at-bats, including a home run, and drove in six runs while scoring twice.
Jumpei Ohashi added three hits and scored once, while
Declan Peterson went 2-for-5 with a double and three runs scored.
John Smith and
Sean Connolly each contributed an RBI.
Vallejo collected nine hits, with
Eddie Molina,
Henry Paulino,
Trey Fletcher and
J.T. Reed recording two hits apiece.
Mickey Nunes drove in two runs, Fletcher had two RBI and Paulino added one. Fletcher also tripled and stole a base.
Dillon Stimpson earned the win for Marysville after allowing three runs, two earned, on three hits in four innings with three strikeouts.
Mike Vochelli opened with three scoreless innings, allowing one hit while striking out five.
Devan Galvan took the loss for Vallejo, surrendering nine runs on nine hits in five innings, while striking out two.
