3/16/2024-No better city in the Pecos League to have St Patricks Day than Dublin, California. Home to the Leprechauns, Dublin was named after the Irish City and celebrates St Patrick's Day with a parade.

The Leprechauns mascot made its debut today in Dublin at the St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Wearing green on St. Patrick's Day actually comes from 18th century Ireland, when Irish people made green a symbol of Irish rebellion and nationalism under Britain's rule. Wearing green on the holiday was loosely tied to Saint Patrick, but a more direct symbol of the patron saint of Ireland was the three-leaf shamrock. March 17 is the day that St. Patrick is believed to have died.
