10/17/2023-ALPINE, TX - The Alpine Cowboys today announced
the hiring of Lance Myers as the club's assistant
manager. Myers played for the Cowboys from 2017-
2019 predominately as a third baseman and was a
key contributor to Alpine's 2019 Pecos League
championship.
Myers played for the Salina Stockade
in 2020 before joining the Roswell Invaders as a
player-manager from 2021-2023. Over his three
seasons in Roswell, Myers led the Invaders to an
86-71 record, championship series appearances in
2021 and 2022, and a Pecos League title in 2022.
Myers is the Pecos League's all-time walks leader
(265), co-owner of the all-time games played
record (303), and second in all-time hits (346).
Myers will reunite with a pair of former Cowboys
teammates on Alpine's 2024 coaching staff -
manager Sean Persky and pitching coach Alejandro
Amezquita.
