June 4 2023 The Alpine Cowboys defeated the Austin Weirdos 15-0 at Kokernot Field, scoring in five innings to secure the shutout victory. Alpine struck for five runs in the first inning, added three in the second, two in the fourth, two in the fifth and three in the eighth. The Cowboys finished with 15 hits while Austin managed four.
Cade Biddle led Alpine with three hits, including a double and a triple, two runs and two RBI.
Manny Garcia also collected three hits and scored twice, while
Drake Angeron went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, two walks and three stolen bases.
Jake Sisto added a home run, a run and two RBI, and
Jeff Disla drove in three runs.
Shane Hykin earned the win with six scoreless innings, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out eight.

Luis Florentino completed the shutout with three scoreless innings. Austin starter
Owen Boone took the loss after allowing 10 hits and 12 runs, nine earned, in 4.1 innings.
