June 20 2022 The Roswell Invaders scored nine runs in the sixth inning and went on to defeat the Tucson Saguaros 16-2. Roswell collected nine hits and took advantage of 14 walks while Tucson finished with seven hits and three walks.
Juan Montes led the Invaders with two hits four runs and two RBI including a home run.
Nolan Bodeau added three hits and three RBI while
Robert Morosetti went 2-for-5 with three RBI.
Colton Adams scored three runs and drove in one, and
Matt Rodriguez reached base five times with five walks.
Roswell built a 3-1 lead through two innings before adding three runs in the fifth and nine in the sixth. The Invaders added another run in the eighth. Tucson scored in the first and fifth innings, with
Steve Joyner going 4-for-5 and scoring twice and
Brock Ephan contributing two hits and one RBI.
Anthony Moore earned the win after allowing six hits and two runs, one earned, in six innings. He walked one and struck out three.
Jonathan Fleckenstein followed with two scoreless innings and four strikeouts.
Ethan Pritchett took the loss for Tucson after allowing six runs, five earned, on four hits in 4.2 innings.
