June 16 2022 The Colorado Springs SnowSox defeated the Trinidad Triggers 6-2, using a six-run fifth inning to take control. Colorado Springs finished with 12 hits and scored all six of its runs in the fifth, while Trinidad scored once in the fourth and once in the sixth. The SnowSox committed no errors; Trinidad had one.
Darlin De La Rosa went 2-for-2 with a double, a run and an RBI for Colorado Springs. Dylan Farinacci added a 2-for-4 performance with two hits, a run and an RBI, while A. Dailey went 2-for-4 with a triple, a run and an RBI.
Rory Graf-Brennen and
Dakota Popham also drove in runs for the SnowSox.
Farinacci earned the win with a complete-game effort, allowing 10 hits and two earned runs in nine innings. He walked one and struck out five while throwing 117 pitches, including 77 strikes.
Trinidad collected 10 hits, with
Adam Purdy and
David Arza each going 3-for-4.
Peter Bocchino and
Yasushi Sanematsu each added a double and scored a run, while
Jake Urena drove in Trinidad’s other run.
Dylan Gobel took the loss after allowing six earned runs on nine hits in 4.2 innings;
Chris Jordan followed with 3.1 scoreless innings and three strikeouts.
