June 15 2022 The Roswell Invaders defeated the Santa Fe Fuego 22-9 after collecting 21 hits and scoring in each of the first eight innings. Roswell broke a 3-3 tie with five runs in the second and added two runs in the third before extending its lead with three runs in the fourth. The Invaders scored five more in the sixth and two in the eighth to pull away.
Robert Morosetti led Roswell with seven hits in seven at-bats including two home runs two doubles six runs and four RBI.
Juan Montes added three hits three runs and three RBI while
Jack Matero went 3-for-4 with two doubles three runs and four RBI.
Kevin Roque had three hits three RBI and two runs and
Nolan Bodeau contributed two hits and three RBI.
Santa Fe finished with 15 hits and received three-hit performances from
Jared Gay Jesus Chavez and
Manny Cachora. Chavez drove in three runs and hit his fifth home run of the season while Gay and Cachora each had two RBI. The Fuego scored three runs in the first two in the third two in the fifth one in the sixth and one in the ninth.
Anthony Moore earned the win for Roswell after allowing 12 hits and eight earned runs in 5.2 innings while striking out five.
Jonathan Chinchilla followed with 2.1 scoreless innings allowing one hit and striking out three.
Luke Poselovic took the loss for Santa Fe after surrendering 10 earned runs on 11 hits in three innings.
