Pacifics Pull Away Late to Beat Admirals 8-4

August 27 2015 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the Vallejo Admirals 8-4, using a four-run eighth inning to break open a tied game. San Rafael finished with 12 hits, while Vallejo collected eight. Both teams committed three errors.

San Rafael scored once in the second inning and twice in the fifth before taking a 4-3 lead in the sixth. Vallejo answered with a tying run in the seventh, but the Pacifics surged ahead with four runs in the eighth and held the Admirals scoreless in the ninth.

Z. Pace led the Pacifics with three hits, two runs and two RBI. J. Bekakis added two hits, two runs and two RBI, while C. Tucker contributed one hit, two runs and two RBI. M. Jova had two hits and one RBI. For Vallejo, T. Williams and T. Nordgren each had two hits. San Rafael’s Wander Beras was the winning pitcher, and Vallejo’s Demetrius Banks took the loss.
