1/7/2019-The Parks and Recreation Commission Agenda has agreed to extend the Monterey Amberjacks lease at Sollectio Park for five years.

The Amberjacks will remain at in Monterey through the 2023 season. With another extension to be reviewed at that point. The Amberjacks will continue to play their Friday-Saturday-Sunday schedule and run youth camps. The Amberjacks will get two Thursday games in 2019 one on opening day and one on the 4th of July.

Monterey is one of most beautiful places to watch a baseball game at any level. Unlike the other desert cities in the Pecos League's Pacific Division with average temperatures in Monterey ranging from 55 to 70. With breathtaking views of Monterey Bay from the stadium and a brand new fieldturf infield.

"We love playing home games in Monterey. It is so great to play games in such cool weather. That is why the Amberjacks have such a good winning percentage at home. We have the true Pecos League homefield advantage." say Amberjacks 2018 Manager Edison Alvarez.

The Amberjacks will open the 2019 season at home on Thursday May 30 and play 29 home games. Their final schedule with opponents will be released in October. For more information about the Amberjacks visit http://www.MontereyAmberjacks.com
