2019 will be the 10 year anniversary of the Andrew Dunn, Ron Baron and the Continental Baseball League announcing their move to Las Cruces. Although Las Cruces never lived up the projections that Baron made, it ultimately paved the way for the creation of the Pecos League and Independent League Baseball throughout New Mexico and the entire West Coast. The Vaqueros also gave a starting point for these individuals in their baseball careers.

- Jimmy Parque=2012-signed a minor league contract with St Louis Cardinals.
- Erik Draxton-2010 Closer-Pitched for Amarillo Sox of the American Association. Draxton also made stops with Southern Illinois Miners.

- Randy Wells-2012-played for Las Vegas Train Robbers in Pecos League.
