7/10/2013-The Pecos League Playoff Race is almost over.

The South has been settled:
Roswell and Alpine will meet in the first round the only thing left to determine is where. Both teams recently swept their opponents and they have eight games left head to head. Roswell currently holds a five game lead on Alpine.
The North has Santa Fe clinging onto life. The Las Vegas Train Robbers appear to be locked into a playoff spot with a 1.5 game lead over Trinidad and 12 of their last remaining games are against White Sands, Taos and Raton. They end the season with a 2 game series with Santa Fe including a possible third makeup game if needed.

The only spot up for grabs appears to be between Santa Fe and Trinidad. The Fuego trail the Trinidad Triggers by 5.5 games with 17 games remaining. Santa Fe plays Trinidad head to head three games and then has a very favorable schedule playing Taos and Raton 9 times. Trinidad has by far the toughest schedule with only two games against Raton and an eight game road trip to Alpine and Alamogordo back to back.
