Sims leads the Santa Fe Fuego to 13-7 win over the Raton Osos

Bryson Sims hit two home runs to carry the Santa Fe Fuego (22-23) to a 13-7 win over the Raton Osos (7-38) at Fort Marcy Park.

Matt Lynch rocked the Santa Fe Fuego with two home runs. Lynch went 4-5 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Lynch homered in the first, third, and third innings.

The Santa Fe Fuego blew out the Raton Osos thanks to 10 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Santa Fe Fuego scored five runs in the fifth on a solo home run by Devonte Odums, a three-run home run by Evan Mansell, and a solo home run by Sims.

The Raton Osos had no answer for Forest Carpenter, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Carpenter held the Raton Osos hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out three.

Kevin Camacho recorded his fourth win for the Santa Fe Fuego even though he allowed seven runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered nine hits.

Willie Frederick ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his seventh loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out two.

The Santa Fe Fuego were sparked by Odums and Sims, who teamed up for eight hits and nine RBIs.
