7/1/2013-Paul Risso will pitch for the Raton Osos on July 17th at Fort Marcy Park in Santa Fe. Paul will be signed to a one day contract to pitch one inning at Fort Marcy Park on July 17th against the Santa Fe Fuego. Risso was recently featured on the Today Show with Matt Lauer. He has tried out for the Pecos League and for the St Paul Saints in the American Association. Risso lives in Los Lunas, NM and has tried out for the Pecos League several times, he went to Spring Training with the Fuego in 2012. Paul was drafted in January 1973 by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 6th Round. It has been Risso's desire to get a Pro Contract and to get one chance.

Paul graduated from San Carlos High School in California in 1971. Paul moved to New Mexico in March of 2004 when he transferred to New Mexico with his company. Paul has barnstormed the Country trying to finally live his dream of playing Pro Ball.
