The Santa Fe Fuego make the most of 9 hits in 8-3 victory over the White Sands Pupfish

The Santa Fe Fuego (17-20) and the White Sands Pupfish (18-22) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Santa Fe Fuego that eventually took advantage of them in an 8-3 win at Fort Marcy Park.

Evan Mansell racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Santa Fe Fuego. He doubled in the third inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Jon Sintes struck out eight, paving the way for a the Santa Fe Fuego win. Sintes allowed two earned runs, 10 hits and no walks over eight innings.

Mike Mendoza was hot from the plate for the White Sands Pupfish. Mendoza went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

Matt Gibbs (2-5) was the games losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out two.
