6/15/2011-Things are tightening up in the Pecos League on Wednesday Night 4 games separate the first place team and the fourth place team. Roswell beat White Sands to move to 13-11, White Sands is now 17-7. Las Cruces beat Ruidoso to put both teams at 16-8. Alpine is ready to climb back into the race with 7 games in a row against Carlsbad. All six teams in the Pecos League are in search of higher quality arms. Seven day a week baseball and promotion of existing players to higher level leagues is the key issue to pitching shortage. The league will also be making a decision on the DH which may go into effect at the midway point of the season.
