Early lead gives the White Sands Pupfish easy victory over the Santa Fe Fuego 15-6

The White Sands Pupfish (17-17) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Santa Fe Fuego (12-19), recording a 15-6 victory on Monday at Aquarium.

Six runs in the first three innings allowed the White Sands Pupfish to put the game away early. An RBI double by George Ban, an RBI single by Mark Leacox, and an RBI single by Leacox during the first inning and a two-run home run by Christian Ramirez in the second inning fueled the White Sands Pupfishs offense early.

Leacox racked up three RBIs on two hits for the White Sands Pupfish.

Anthony Welsh racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Santa Fe Fuego. He singled in the second inning and homered in the fourth innings.

Chris Peacock improved to 4-2 on the year by picking up the win for the White Sands Pupfish. He allowed three runs over five innings. Peacock struck out four, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Josh White (1-2) took the loss for the Santa Fe Fuego. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked one and struck out none.

The White Sands Pupfish easily handled the Santa Fe Fuego pitching as six hitters combined for 14 hits, 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
