Santa Fe Fuego Baseball Team Announces Red Cross Night.

Event Takes Place Friday at Ft. Marcy Park

Santa Fe, NM-The Santa Fe Fuego baseball team has announced that Friday, June 7 is Red Cross Night when the team plays the Raton Osos.

Game time is 6 p.m. at Ft. Marcy Park. The team will donate a dollar from every ticket sold to The American Red Cross in New Mexico local disaster relief fund. This fund enables the Red Cross to respond to emergencies like the Tres Lagunas Fire in Pecos, where a Red Cross Shelter was opened to help the local community during the wildfire evacuations. While the shelter was open last weekend 340 meals, 500 snacks and 1000 bottles of water were distributed at the shelter site, community meetings, and the incident command operation and to firefighters.

The local Disaster Relief fund also makes it possible for the Red Cross Disaster Action Teams (DAT) to respond to home fires virtually every day in New Mexico. So far this week, five families in the state have received emergency assistance due to residential fires.

The Red Cross depends on the generosity of the American people to fulfill our mission.
