1/3/2018-The Trinidad Triggers have announced that the City of Trinidad has been awarded the 2018 Pecos League Mountain Division All-Star Game. This will be the first time in the Triggers have hosted the All-Star Game.

The All-Star Game festivities will take place at Central Park Field; on Sunday, July 8, and will feature a Home Run Derby and All-Star Game. Executives, fans, coaches and best performing players from Kansas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Texas will be traveling to Trinidad for this premier event.

Triggers General Manager Kim Schultz worked closely with the Pecos League to bring this exciting event to the community. "Its an honor to be awarded the 2018 Pecos League All-Star Game. We have put so much effort into revitalizing our facility in the past few years and league officials took notice of that. The City of Trinidad has been very supportive of our efforts and we will partner to make this the most entertaining and star-studded All-Star weekend," said Schultz. "Were incredibly excited to host 2018 Pecos League All Star Game here in Trinidad," said Mayor Phil Rico. "And the timing for this event is perfect, the Triggers are part of what makes Trinidad such a great city to call home, and we cant wait to show the Pecos Leagues best all that our City has to offer!"

Ticket information and additional activities surrounding the All-Star Game will be announced in the coming months. Season Tickets for the 2018 Trinidad Triggers season are on sale now. Fans who purchase by January 15 will receive complimentary tickets to the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby. Season tickets can be purchased by calling Kim Schultz at 719-859-1008. Commissioner of the Pecos League, Andrew Dunn remarked "we are very excited to bring the 2018 Pecos League All-Star Game back to Trinidad, Colorado. The commitment of the City, the field improvements and the strong front office staff of the Triggers have all made this possible. We look forward to a wonderful time for the Leagues showcase event." The Pecos League is currently in its 8th season. The Pecos League annually advances the many players to other baseball organizations; including the American Association, Can-AM League, Pacific Association, Atlantic League and numerous MLB affiliates.
