9/14/2012-Since the conclusion of the Pueblo West City Council Meeting on Tuesday Night, the Pecos League has began looking at other options in Southern Colorado and in Pueblo. The logical choice would have been Runyon Park in Pueblo, Colorado. The Pecos League played a three game series there between Roswell and Ruidoso in 2011. "They have every baseball organization in Pueblo using the field just like Farmington. They don't have any open dates and they don't want to displace other teams. We would not only be unwelcome but we would be getting in their way. We have tried and tried they don't want pro ball in Pueblo." says Pecos League Commisioner Andrew Dunn.

Dave Dudley from Runyon Park in Pueblo Colorado says "It is too much for us to bite off right now." This could end Pueblo or Pueblo West's chances of getting a professional team for the 2013 season. Having a 8th team would be very helpful to the Trinidad Triggers budget and allow the creation of a Northern Division. The Pecos League will be looking at other Southern Colorado/Northern New Mexico Cities.
