8/22/2012-Roswell Native and Goddard graduate Eric Zagone was sent to the Joliet Slammers today by Chris Paterson. Zagone pitched for White Sands (Alamogordo) this season. He had several impressive starts including one in Roswell against the Invaders. The Slammers did not qualify for the playoffs and their own publicly stated they needed 1000 more fans per night to make money. The Pecos League has sent the Slammers four players in two years, all from Chris Paterson who managed in Roswell in 2011 and White Sands in 2012
