3/22/2017-Salina Stockade 15 Houston Apollos 13 The Salina Stockade and Houston Apollos combined to break ever offensive record in the history of the Pecos Spring League. Most runs, most hits, most home runs and the longest game in time. Earlier in the day the Galveston Sea Lions lost to the Garden of Gears which meant the Houston Apollos where 2017 Spring League Champions. Tommy Haas had a record 7 rbis and hit 2 home runs

The Apollos jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the 2nd inning. The Apollos elected to pull Bryan Kloppe who threw two scoreless innings and homered as a batter. The Stockade had 9 hits but 4 of them were home runs.

For the Stockade offense
  • Jordan Garrett went 1-4 with a key RBI
  • Steven Taft went 2-3 with 3 runs scored and 2 rbis and a homer.
  • Tommy Haas went 2-3 with 2 HR's and 7 rbis.
  • Martin Teague went 1-2 with a long HR
  • Heisyen Ferrero homered going 1-4 with 2 home runs.
For the Apollos Offense
  • Scott Stetson walked 3 times scoring 2 runs
  • Eric Schneider went 2-5 with 2 rbis
  • Giovanni Prado hit a grand slam and went 2-4 with 6 rbis.


For the Apollos Offense
  • Bryan Kloppe pitched 2 innings allowing 0 runs and completely shut out the Stockade leaving the game with a 10-0 lead
  • Blake Davis made his pitching debut allowing 2 hits, 3 walks and allowing 5 runs without getting an out.
  • Rene Moreda attempted to pitch in the 5th inning. He pitched 1/3 of an inning allowing 2 hits, 2 walks and 4 runs.
  • Cameron Ketchen came in for the Apollos pitching two innings and not allowing a run.
  • Cip Garza pitched 1/3 of an inning allowing 3 hits, 6 unearned runs.
  • Giovanni Prado pitched 1-2/3 innings not allowing a run. This left the score 15-11 in favor of the Stockade.
For the Stockade Offense
  • Blaine Lang 1-2/3 innings allowing 3 hits, 5 runs, 6 walks
  • Brett Youngblood pitched 2/3 of a inning allowing 2 hits, 5 runs and 3 walks.
  • Eddie Grimaldo 3-2/3 innings allowing only 3 runs and 2 hits walking 4 and striking out 3.
  • Kirby Campbell pitched to 3 hitters in the 7th allowing 1 run, 2 walks and 1 hit.
  • David Peterson came into a 15-11 game and got a pop fly out and a huge double to end the game and hold the save for Salina.
