7/14/2016-

The Alpine Cowboys (26-25) built an early edge on Thursday, but the Tucson Saguaros (39-13) roared back to steal a 7-2 victory at Kino Veterans.

The Tucson Saguaros took the lead in the fourth inning on a two-run single by Danny Droll.

Ryan Retz boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Tucson Saguaros. He singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.

Steven Borkowskis seven strikeouts helped the Tucson Saguaros to the victory. Borkowski allowed no earned runs on six hits and two walks over six innings.

The Tucson Saguaros couldnt get anything going as long as Cam Carney was pitching. The Tucson Saguaros managed just one hit off of Carney, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Jake Heissler was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out one.
