7/1/2016-

The Garden City Wind (21-17) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Great Bend Boom (14-23), recording a 19-7 victory on Thursday at Clint Lightner.

With six runs in the first three innings, the Garden City Wind left no doubt about the eventual outcome. Chris Gammon pitched lights out for the Garden City Wind. Gammon held the Great Bend Boom hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Tevin Pudgett racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Great Bend Boom. He.

Even though Ryan Riordan allowed seven runs over six innings he still recorded the victory, his third of the season. Riordan struck out one, walked two and gave up seven hits.
