The Santa Fe Fuego make the most of 7 hits in 3-2 victory over the White Sands Pupfish

The Santa Fe Fuego (8-29) and the White Sands Pupfish (14-26) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Santa Fe Fuego that eventually took advantage of them in a 3-2 win at Fort Marcy Park.

The fact that the Santa Fe Fuego grouped all of their runs into the sixth inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

The Santa Fe Fuego were led by Eric Marias hitting. Maria went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the eighth inning.

Eric Gleese picked up the win for the Santa Fe Fuego. Gleese allowed two earned runs, eight hits and two walks while striking out six over eight innings of work.

A bright spot for the White Sands Pupfish in the defeat was Taylor Elman, who allowed only three runs while striking out five.

Elman (0-2) took the loss for the White Sands Pupfish.
