Coffman leads the Roswell Invaders to 5-4 win over the Tucson Saguaros

Cody Coffman clubbed two home runs to carry the Roswell Invaders (23-9) to a 5-4 win over the Tucson Saguaros (26-8) at Joe Bauman Park.

The Tucson Saguaros were ahead early but they ultimately surrendered the lead for good. The Tucson Saguaros led until the eighth inning, but the Roswell Invaders took the lead back on a solo home run by Coffman.

The Tucson Saguaros had no answer for Kyle Perez, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Perez gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

TJ Pruneda recorded his fourth win of the year for the Roswell Invaders. He allowed four runs over six innings. Pruneda struck out three, walked three and gave up six hits.

Cameron Cox (4-3) was the games losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
