Early lead not enough for the Trinidad Triggers drop 9-6 decision to the Topeka Train Robbers

The Trinidad Triggers (9-3) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 9-6 to the Topeka Train Robbers (2-6) on Monday.

An RBI single by Ian Home gave the Topeka Train Robbers the lead in the fifth inning.

Corey Willig racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Topeka Train Robbers. He singled in the first and third innings and homered in the sixth inning.

Matt Domain racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Trinidad Triggers. He homered in the third inning.

Nick Hernandez got his first win for the Topeka Train Robbers despite allowing six runs over 4 2/3 innings. Hernandez struck out five, walked seven and gave up eight hits.

Eric William couldnt get it done on the bump for the Trinidad Triggers, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
