10/14/2015-The Topeka Train Robbers will be a 2016 Team in the Pecos League. The team will be an expansion team in the Pecos League inheriting the name and colors of the Las Vegas Train Robbers. The Las Vegas Train Robbers played in the Pecos League in 2013, 2014 and 2015. Topeka is the capital city of the State of Kansas and the seat of Shawnee County. It is situated along the Kansas River in the central part of Shawnee County, located in northeast Kansas.

The Topeka Train Robbers will play in the Bettis Family Sports Complex Field at Lake Shawnee Complex.

About Lake Shawnee Park

The Bettis Family Sports Complex was built in 2010. Lake Shawnee was built as a Work Progress Administration project. Construction began in 1935 and was completed on September 3, 1939, when over 5,000 fishermen celebrated the opening day. There are pictures and more information about Lake Shawnee here
