1/15/2012-The White Sands Pupfish were by far the biggest surprise in the 2011 season they made the playoffs and tied Roswell for the league lead in attendance. The City of Alamogordo and the Pecos League didn't stop in the offseason. The Whites Sands Pupfish named Chris Paterson their manager for the 2012 season. He was manager of the year in 2011. Wally Anderson formed the Pupfish booster club.

In less than one full year the City of Alamogordo has turned Griggs Park into a customized park ideal for Pecos League sized markets. Their game day staff is second to none. They are also in process of being the host cities for league umpires and Alamogordo is frontrunner to host the 2012 All-Star Game Again.
