Clingaman allows no runs to lead the Santa Fe Fuego past the Las Cruces Vaqueros 12-11

Briston Clingaman kept the Las Cruces Vaqueros (5-17) off the board during his five innings of work and the Santa Fe Fuego (12-7) beat the Las Cruces Vaqueros, 12-11.

Clingaman allowed three hits, one walk and struck out four.

A walk-off hit into a fielders choice by Scott Torrey gave the Santa Fe Fuego the win.

Torrey had a hot bat for the Santa Fe Fuego. Torrey went 0-0. He doubled in the second inning.

Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 23 runs and 27 hits, including zero extra base hits. Relief pitchers got their fill of innings during the game, with the opposing managers using 10 pitchers in total.

Eddie Newton racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Santa Fe Fuego. He singled in the second inning, doubled in the fourth inning, and homered in the eighth inning.

James Taylor ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
