Sealy seals the deal for the Trinidad Triggers 6-5 in Garden City

5/19/2015- Trevor Sealey hit a ninth inning two run homer to lead lead the Trinidad Triggers (1-0) to a 6-5 win over the Garden City Wind (0-1) on Tuesday at Clint Lightner.

With the Trinidad Triggers trailing by one in the ninth inning, Sealey came to the plate and homered.

Eric Williams reached base two times in the game for the Trinidad Triggers. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fourth inning.

Matt Horan allowed four earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out 10 over seven innings of work.

Larry Rodriguez got on base two times in the game for the Garden City Wind. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the sixth inning.

Brandon Hudson was the games losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out three, and allowed two runs. Clint Lightner Field was playable despite 5 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. The Parking lot was completely under water.

Matt Allen threw out the first pitch, John Washington performed the National Anthem, Lexi Hogan sang Home of the Range in the 7th inning.

Many fans stayed the entire game despite driving winds and weather in the upper 30s. The two teams meet again tonight in Garden City at 6:30 CST. Garden City Kansas its first ever game and the game had many firsts
