The Santa Fe Fuego takes advantage of early error beats the Trinidad Triggers 7-5

Four first-inning runs helped the Santa Fe Fuego (41-20) to a 7-5 win over the Trinidad Triggers (32-23) at Central Park on Thursday.

The Santa Fe Fuego scored in the first on an error, a passed ball, , an RBI single by Aaron Carman, and an RBI double by Nick Billinger.

Carman paced the Santa Fe Fuego at the plate. Carman went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run.

Francisco Rodriguezs eight strikeouts were enough to push the Santa Fe Fuego past the Trinidad Triggers. Rodriguez allowed two earned runs, six hits and three walks over six innings.

Shane Casey racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Trinidad Triggers. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Jeff Lyons (6-3) took the loss for the Trinidad Triggers. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
