The Santa Fe Fuego offense too much for the Raton Osos in 19-6 rout

The Santa Fe Fuego (33-19) jumped out to an early lead on the Raton Osos (19-32) and captured a 19-6 victory on Tuesday at Gabriele Park.

The game was decided quickly as the Santa Fe Fuego exerted their will early with 16 runs in the first three innings. An RBI double by Craig Massey and an RBI single by Charles Johnson during the first inning and a two-run error, an RBI double by Omar Artsen, a two-run single by Massey, a fielders choice, a two-run home run by Brice Cutspec, an RBI double by Josh Downing, and an RBI double by Eric Kozel in the second inning helped the Santa Fe Fuego put some runs on the board early.

Aaron Carman went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Santa Fe Fuego. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fifth and sixth innings.

Aaron Olivas racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Raton Osos. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Downing got his fourth win for the Santa Fe Fuego despite allowing six runs over five innings. Downing struck out four, walked three and gave up six hits.

Jesse Meier (1-2) was the games losing pitcher. He allowed 10 runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.

The Santa Fe Fuego hammered the Raton Osos pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 17 hits, 17 RBIs and 17 runs scored.
