Early boost from Normoyle helps the Roswell Invaders get past the Las Vegas Train Robbers 5-2

The Roswell Invaders (30-23) built an early lead against the Las Vegas Train Robbers (15-35), scoring three runs in the first inning, en route to a 5-2 win on Sunday at Joe Bauman Park.

The Roswell Invaders scored in the first on an RBI single by Ryan Normoyle, an RBI single by Mike Kerns, an RBI single by Kerns, and an RBI single by Joe Miller.

Kerns racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Roswell Invaders.

Ridge Gonsoulin did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Las Vegas Train Robbers, reaching base three times. He singled in the first and seventh innings.

Josh Wright got the win, running his season record to 3-0. He allowed two runs over six innings. Wright struck out four, walked four and gave up six hits.

Ryan Ward took the loss for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He lasted just seven innings, walked four, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
