The Las Vegas Train Robbers outdone by Heck and the Alpine Cowboys 7-3

Tyler Heck went 2-4, helping the Alpine Cowboys (35-17) to a 7-3 victory over the Las Vegas Train Robbers (14-32) on Thursday at Kokernot Field. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Josh Cruse handled the Las Vegas Train Robbers lineup with ease, racking up six strikeouts. Cruse allowed three earned runs, three hits and four walks over seven innings.

Shane Casey had two extra-base hits for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He doubled in the fourth inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Scotty Hong recorded his third win of the year for the Alpine Cowboys. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Clint Manzo (0-3) took the loss for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
