The Alpine Cowboys jump on the Las Vegas Train Robbers early and coast to 9-1 win

The Alpine Cowboys (33-17) took down the Las Vegas Train Robbers (14-30) 9-1 on Wednesday at Kokernot Field after slamming the Las Vegas Train Robbers with seven runs in the second inning.

The Alpine Cowboys scored in the second on an RBI double by Tyler Heck, a two-run double by Casanova Donaldson, a two-run double by Austin Prott, and a two-run home run by Anthony Renteria.

The Alpine Cowboys Prott was perfect at the dish, going 4-4.

Dan Thorpe had an impressive outing against the Las Vegas Train Robbers lineup. The Las Vegas Train Robbers managed just two hits off of the the Alpine Cowboys pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out three during his seven innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Las Vegas Train Robbers Tim Blackman dominated the Alpine Cowboys batters, giving up zero runs and striking out five.

Rob Swift was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in two innings, walked five and struck out three.
