The Santa Fe Fuego get late runs to finish off the Las Vegas Train Robbers 17-6

The Santa Fe Fuego (24-15) scored eight runs in the seventh to cap a 17-6 win over the Las Vegas Train Robbers (12-25) on Monday.

The Santa Fe Fuego scored in the seventh on an RBI single by Aaron Carman, a two-run home run by Nick Billinger, a solo home run by Omar Artsen, a three-run home run by Artsen, and a two-run home run by Austin Carden.

Eric Kozel racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Santa Fe Fuego. He singled in the fourth, sixth, and seventh innings.

The Las Vegas Train Robbers lineup had no answer for Carden. Carden held the Las Vegas Train Robbers hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Gary Owens put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Brandon Marris recorded his third win of the year for the Santa Fe Fuego. He allowed three runs over six innings. Marris struck out four, walked one and gave up seven hits.

Ryan Ward couldnt get it done on the mound for the Las Vegas Train Robbers, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
