A walk-off single from Eric Kozel brought home the winning run for the Santa Fe Fuego (20-12) in a 7-6 victory over the Raton Osos (11-19) at Fort Marcy Park on Monday.
Kozel racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Santa Fe Fuego. He singled in the ninth inning.
Nick Billinger had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the first inning, singled in the fifth inning, and homered in the seventh inning.
Mitch Warne went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Raton Osos. He homered in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.
Charlie McCready got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Richard Suniga (1-1) took the loss for the Raton Osos. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed one run.
The Santa Fe Fuego were sparked by Billinger and Charles Johnson, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.
