The Raton Osos offense too much for the Trinidad Triggers in 16-4 rout

The Raton Osos (11-15) jumped out to an early lead on the Trinidad Triggers (12-13) and captured a 16-4 victory on Wednesday at Gabriele Park.

The game was decided quickly as the Raton Osos exerted their will early with 10 runs in the first three innings. A wild pitch, an RBI single by Thomas Barksdale, a two-run single by Michael Campbell, and a wild pitch during the first inning and a home run by Chris Williams and an RBI single by Andre Oliver in the second inning fueled the Raton Osos offense early.

Williams racked up six RBIs on two hits for the Raton Osos.

Jesse Meiers three strikeouts were enough to push the Raton Osos past the Trinidad Triggers. The Raton Osos pitcher tossed five innings of shutout ball and allowed only four hits.

Johnny Bladel was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Raton Osos batters and allowing zero runs.

Jeff Lyons ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed 10 runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked six and struck out four.

The Raton Osos hammered the Trinidad Triggers pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 14 hits, 11 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
