Five first-inning runs helped the Raton Osos (9-14) to a 6-3 win over the Taos Blizzard (6-16) at Gabriele Park on Sunday.

The Raton Osos scored in the first on an RBI single by Mitch Warne, an error, a groundout by Zach Kreeger, and a two-run single by Thomas Barksdale.

Cie Arell had two extra-base hits for the Raton Osos. He singled in the first innings, doubled in the second inning, and homered in the fifth inning.

Kellen Quintana recorded his fourth win of the year for the Raton Osos. He allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out seven, walked one and surrendered eight hits.

Andrew Bruder ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked two and struck out two.
