The Douglas Diablos make the most of 7 hits in 5-3 victory over the Roswell Invaders

Both the Douglas Diablos (8-15) and the Roswell Invaders (17-7) put runners aboard on Friday, but it was the Douglas Diablos that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 5-3 win at Joe Bauman Park.

Jean Batista racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Douglas Diablos. He singled in the second and sixth innings and tripled in the eighth inning.

Sandy Garces allowed two earned runs, six hits and no walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Manuel Soliman improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Douglas Diablos. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered 10 hits.

A.J. Funk ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just zero innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
