Key at bat helps the coastal kingfish defeat the Garden of Gears 6-3

The Garden of Gears had no answer for richard suniga, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Suniga held the Garden of Gears hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five.

michael pesika was solid at the plate for the Garden of Gears. Pesika went 2-3 and scored two runs. He singled in the first and third innings.

stephen wisser improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the coastal kingfish. He allowed one run over 2 1/3 innings. He struck out four, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Thomas Barnhardt (0-1) was the games losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
