8/10/2019-For the first time in Pecos League History there will be a rematch in the Finals. Same two teams, same ballpark, totally different players and managers. One year ago Bakersfield won the Pecos League Championship in Alpine by winning a tough 3 games series two games to one. Bakersfield won a tough series in Bakersfield against California City then went to Tucson and swept the #1 seed Saguaros. The Train Robbers stayed on Interstate 10 and wound up in Alpine, Texas where they won a tough three game series to be named the Champs. Bryan Kloppe is gone to USPBL replaced by Edilson Alvarez. The Train Robbers wore White Jerseys and White Pants home or away in 2018. They were replaced by with Royal Blue.

The Cowboys continue to sport their traditional Red Uniforms with Black Alternates. Austin Prott has been replaced by Sean Persky as field manager. The Cowboys were again the #1 seed in the Mountain Division, sweeping the Roswell Invaders similar to their sweep of the Trinidad Triggers in 2018.

Since the Pecos League moved to the Pacific Time Zone in 2016 all of its Champions have come from the Pacific Time Zone. (Tucson 2016, High Desert 2017, Bakersfield 2018) Roswell was the last Mountain Division team to win a title in 2015. 2019 will surely be an exciting finals. Game 1 is Sunday Night in Alpine at 7:05 PM
